A shared company login should have a clear owner, a controlled audience and a recovery plan. A business password manager helps organise that work across employees' browsers, computers and phones. The right choice depends as much on administration and departing employees as on saving a password.
These eight services are available to U.S. business customers. 1Password Business is our top editorial pick for a managed team rollout, while the alternatives suit different budgets, identity systems and sharing needs.
Editorial disclosure: UK Titles gives relevant preferred providers priority in this series. None of this series' preferred providers is included, so no preferred-provider placement applies. We assessed public documentation and have not independently tested these products' security, autofill reliability or recovery performance.
How we selected these business password managers
We checked official product pages, pricing, administration guidance and U.S. purchasing or service availability on 29 October 2026. Selection favours employee credential storage, controlled sharing and central administration. The order reflects documented fit for the stated use cases, rather than a security score. Availability to U.S. customers does not automatically mean U.S.-only data hosting.
Prices below are USD. Unless stated otherwise, they are per-user monthly equivalents with annual billing, rather than cancellable monthly subscriptions. Confirm taxes, renewal prices, seat minimums and any promotion before ordering; compare the edition that includes your required controls.

1. 1Password Business — Best overall for a managed team rollout
1Password Business combines group-based vault access, identity-provider provisioning and SSO with administration and recovery workflows. That balance makes it our first shortlist choice for a team introducing formal ownership and access rules. Its current Business price is $8.99/user/month billed yearly, with a one-user minimum.
Trade-offs: this costs more than several entry plans here. SSO uses OIDC, supports one identity provider and excludes account owners; read the SSO requirements. A second owner and recovery plan matter because an owner cannot recover their own account. The .com service bills in USD and hosts secure data in the United States.
2. Bitwarden — Best for lower-cost shared collections
Bitwarden suits teams wanting shared credentials and central ownership without starting at a premium enterprise price. Teams costs $4/user/month annually, including event logs, directory synchronisation and SCIM provisioning. Enterprise is $6/user/month annually and adds SSO, enterprise policies and a self-hosting option.
Trade-offs: budget for Enterprise if administrator-led account recovery is essential, and enrol members before they need it. Cloud accounts and organisations must use the same server region; a U.S. account cannot simply join an EU organisation. Self-hosting also adds operational responsibility.
3. Keeper Business — Best for vault sharing with policy controls
Keeper Business provides shared team folders, delegated administration, organisational controls and credential sharing. Keeper's current plan guide lists Business from $4/user/month billed annually. With five seats minimum, the starting annual commitment is $240 before taxes or extras.
Trade-offs: SSO, SCIM and Active Directory/LDAP synchronisation belong to Enterprise. Several monitoring and storage services are add-ons, so request the full configuration rather than assuming every feature shown on the pricing page is included. This is a useful fit when vault sharing and administrative delegation matter more than buying a full identity-integration package immediately.
4. Dashlane Omnix Password Management — Best for SSO with a small starting team
Dashlane Omnix Password Management, formerly Business, includes vaults, sharing, administrator policies, SSO and SCIM. Its published price is $8/user/month with annual billing. The two-seat minimum gives a small firm a $192 annual starting point.
Trade-offs: Dashlane's broader Credential Protection features, including its general AI phishing alerts and risk detection, are a separate plan or part of Enterprise. Check the purchased plan after a trial, when features outside that plan stop being available. Admin-assisted recovery also has app-specific restrictions, which are worth testing with your actual devices.
5. NordPass Business — Best for shared folders with Google Workspace
NordPass Business combines folder and group sharing, password-health checks, breach monitoring and an administrator panel. Google Workspace SSO is included. The one-year pricing panel displayed $3.99/user/month in USD when checked, with a five-user minimum. Confirm the initial invoice and renewal terms; promotional discounts can exclude renewals and added seats.
Trade-offs: Entra ID, ADFS and Okta SSO, together with automated Entra ID and Okta user management, require Enterprise. A Google Workspace team may therefore need a different edition from a Microsoft-centred business, even if their password-storage requirements look similar.
6. RoboForm Business — Best for broad controls in one business tier
RoboForm Business offers separate work and personal vaults, granular sharing, an Admin Center, policies, activity logs, SSO and SCIM. Its published regular renewal is $39.95/user/year. The first-year offer did not display a usable amount during our check, so this comparison uses the renewal price.
Trade-offs: self-hosting is an Enterprise option for environments of at least 1,000 users. The included Family benefit needs ten paid licences; that threshold is not stated as the Business purchasing minimum. Follow the licensing guidance and buy a separate licence for each employee.
7. Zoho Vault — Best for low-cost individual sharing
Zoho Vault Standard provides individual credential sharing, ownership transfer, central controls and activity reports. The current USD price data lists $0.90/user/month annually, or $1 with monthly billing. Zoho also documents a U.S. Vault service.
Trade-offs: departmental groups and shared folders need Professional, at $4.50/user/month billed annually with five users minimum. Enterprise is $7.20/user/month billed annually with the same minimum and adds cloud-app SSO, Active Directory integration and SIEM connections. Those boundaries can make the cheapest plan unsuitable for a centrally managed organisation. Attachments are limited to 2 MB per file.
8. Proton Pass Business — Best for small-team vault and link sharing
Proton Pass Essentials offers vault, item and link sharing, passkeys, an authenticator and business administration. Its displayed annual rate is $1.99/user/month, or $23.88/user/year, for three to thirty users. The USD business signup provides a purchasing route for U.S. teams.
Trade-offs: SSO, SCIM, group sharing, detailed logs and enterprise policies require Professional, currently $4.99/user/month billed yearly with three users minimum. Check the integration list: SCIM supports Okta and Microsoft Entra. A team needing another provisioning integration should confirm support before committing.
How to choose and run a useful trial
Start with the actual workflow: who owns a shared login, who may use it, and what happens when its owner leaves? Map those answers to vault permissions, recovery roles and offboarding. Then check your identity provider against the exact paid edition. Directory provisioning, SSO and account recovery are separate capabilities.
Trial a small department using its everyday browsers and phones. Import a sample of credentials, share a folder, recover a locked-out member and revoke a departing test user's access. Check export options and regional settings before moving the whole organisation. Price the required edition for the full year, including minimum seats and optional services.
Frequently asked questions
Is the lowest advertised price the whole team cost?
Multiply the annual per-user rate by the seats you must purchase. Then include taxes and any required add-ons. A five-seat minimum affects a three-person firm, while SSO or group-sharing requirements may move it to a higher tier.
Does a password manager guarantee account security?
No. Permissions, recovery arrangements, device protection and employee behaviour still matter. Treat a successful trial as evidence that the workflow fits your team, rather than proof that accounts cannot be compromised.
